The Role
You will provide inspiration, skill and practical experience to students across our department's courses. You will also contribute to the development of our course offer, building on our innovative provision.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and develop lessons, including the development of schemes of work
- Develop and implement learner‐centred assessment methods, with focus on constructive and developmental feedback for our students
- Encourage, monitor and report on the attendance, progress and achievements of students
- Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforce health and safety standards in your area, ensuring all students understand and comply
- Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students to support their own development and future progression
- Keep abreast of industry developments in your specialist area to ensure the relevance and continued employability of our students
- Actively participate in continuing professional development around theory and practice within the education sector
Ideal Candidate
- Hold a teaching qualification and have experience of teaching in the Further or Higher Education sectors.
- Experience working with SEND students with complex needs.
- All applicants should have good administrative skills and be able to accurately track students' attendance, progress and achievements.
