Overview
Our sports and protective services department supports the growing football academies within the Sports and Department at Barking and Dagenham College. You\\\'ll provide inspiration, skill and practical experience to students across our department\\\'s courses and contribute to the development of our course offer.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver coaching sessions in tandem with Hornchurch Football Club football philosophy.
- Be responsible for maintenance of training / match balls, bibs, cones and all other relevant equipment as required by the Academy.
- Work with match analysts to plan and prepare relevant team and individual footage.
- Provide feedback to players by using video analysis or other industry methods.
- Plan and organise AoC/Academy teams training sessions, fixtures, re-scheduled fixtures and referees/officials.
- Plan, organise and attend trips abroad (where required).
- Accompany players to matches.
- Inform all players, parents and guardians of any changes or cancellations to training sessions, matches or events as soon as possible ensuring league rules are complied with.
- Complete registers for sessions (Safeguarding duty).
- Report all player injuries immediately to the Sports Therapist and complete mandatory/legal Health and Safety reporting processes.
- Support recruiting players for the Academy in tandem with the Curriculum Team Leader and/or Curriculum Manager.
- Attend all Football Academy, Curriculum or Dagenham and Redbridge FC meetings (e.g. parent\\\'s evenings).
- Work efficiently and effectively with cross-college staff, external partners, visitors and business support teams.
- Maintain honesty and integrity at all times when working with young players.
- Act and behave in a manner appropriate of a representative of Barking and Dagenham College.
- Ensure that all academy players act and conduct themselves on and off the pitch in a manner appropriate of a representative of Barking and Dagenham College, Dagenham and Redbridge Football Club and the Football Association.
Qualifications
- UEFA A or B Licence.
- FA Level 2 Emergency First Aid in Football.
- Experience of working with 16-18-year olds within football.
- Experience, knowledge and expertise of the use of Microsoft Office software packages.
- Ability to work safely at all times, in accordance with the college and academy risk assessment procedures and to contribute to the development of risk assessments as directed by Line Manager.
