Are you a current Lecturer – Art and Design/Fashion looking to work in a supportive, forward-thinking college?
We\’re recruiting for a Lecturer- Art and Design/Fashion to join our team on a part-time 14.4 hours per week, permanent basis.
The salary scale for this role is £25,494 – £44,526 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, depending on qualifications and experience. (to be pro rata\’d to 28.8 hpw, 0.8 FTE)
The Lecturer – Art and Design/Fashion Role;
Our Art and Design/Fashion department are preparing young people and adults across the business disciplines to enter the workforce.
You\’ll provide inspiration, skill and practical experience to students across our department\’s courses. You\’ll also contribute to the development of our course offer, building on our innovative provision.
Key responsibilities of our Lecturer – Art and Design/Fashion;
- Plan and develops lessons, including the development of schemes of work
- Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods, with focus on constructive and development feedback for our students
- Encourage, monitor and report on the attendance, progress and achievements of students
- Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforce health and safety standard in your area, ensuring all students understand and comply
- Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students in order to support them int heir own development and future progression
- Keep abreast of industry developments in your specialist area to ensure the relevance and continued employability of our students
- Actively participate in continuing professional development around theory and practice within the education sector
Our ideal Lecturer – Art and Design/Fashion should have the following qualifications, skills and experience;
- Teaching qualification and have experience of teaching in the Further or Higher Education sectors
- Hold a recognised beauty qualification, ideally accredited to Level 3
- An Assessor Award D32,A1, TAQA would be highly desirable
- Must have relevant industry experience in Busness Studies
- Experience of working with young adults is desirable
