Exams and Data Officer

Permanent Contract – 35 hours per week, Term Time Only plus 10 additional days.

Scale 6 (Point 18 – £35,520 to Point 20 – £36,585 Full time). Prorated salary: £31,337 – £32,276, depending on experience, weeks per year and continuous service.

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Barking Abbey School for someone to join our growing exams team due to the expansion of the school.

This role is integral to the daily smooth operation of the school and provides a highly skilled administrator with opportunities for growth and development, gaining specialist knowledge in the examination processes and procedures in schools.

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration of the full examination cycle, ensuring compliance with legislation and school procedures.
  • Manage, manipulate and interpret data related to student performance, attendance and exam results.
  • Utilise software systems, develop new processes and troubleshoot data issues to improve efficiency.
  • Prioritise and plan workload, propose innovative solutions to solve problems and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with staff across the school to provide a professional service that supports teaching and learning.
  • Be flexible regarding working hours and location, particularly during busy exam periods.
