DRIVERS 3.5 TONNE EGGBOROUGH WAREHOUSE

This role requires you to work 5 days out of 7 which may include weekends and bank holidays

Barker and Stonehouse is a family run company business founded in 1946 with great products and superb presentation.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and flexible 3.5T Drivers for our Eggborough Warehouse.

Duties include

  • Vehicle safety, maintenance and cleanliness
  • Daily route planning and control of delivery documentation
  • S afe loading and unloading of furniture to customer properties and warehouses
  • Communication with customers, stores and warehouses
  • Some furniture assembly in customer properties
  • Collection of returns and recycled furniture
  • Plan and drive to predetermined appointments with due care and attention
  • Liaise with customers to confirm delivery times
  • Ensure furniture is unwrapped and checked for any damage prior to leaving the customers properties
  • Maintain vehicle to the legal requirements and as outlined in the Drivers handbook
  • Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations
  • Other reasonable duties within the job holders capabilities

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.

This role will involve heavy lifting.

Experience / Requirements for the post

  • You must be self-motivated and hardworking
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of multi-drop deliveries within the furniture industry would be advantageous
  • A flexible approach to working hours
  • Able to work on your own initiative and as a member of a team
