An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Site Supervisor to join our client specialising in recycling waste streams for individual clients, based in Wisbech! The role is due to start as soon as possible and will be a temporary to permanent position, following a successful probationary period. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm. The pay rate for the role will be £16.82 - £17.78 per hour, depending on experience.
The purpose of the role is to lead the site team to ensure waste streams are collected and segregated correctly and assisting with the smooth operation of the site. You will also be required to provide health & safety support, completing reports and ensure staff are working in a safe manner at all times.
- Day to day site lead requirements
- Conduct any appropriate staff management needed on site
- Monitor skips and containers, making sure they are not overloaded
- Conduct any investigations on site, find the root cause of any accidents/incidents
- Ensure Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times
- Being responsible for time management of all staff
- Monitor employee activities and provide guidance where needed
- Deliver suitable training for all team members
- Delivery of regular team briefings
- Deliver improvements processes to assist with cost reduction
- Carry out regular auditing/observations of all operations
In order to be considered for the role it is essential that you have previous supervisory/management experience, a full UK Driving Licence and own transport and excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Lotus Notes).
