The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Finishing Foreman to oversee the final stages of two luxury new-build homes in Wimbledon. These are architect-designed concrete frame properties finished to an exceptionally high specification. The successful candidate will have a genuine eye for detail, take pride in quality, and be confident managing multiple finishing trades through to practical completion. This is not a volume housebuilder role. We are looking for someone who understands bespoke residential construction where quality comes before speed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all internal and external finishing works from second fix through to practical completion.
- Coordinate and supervise all finishing subcontractors including joinery, decorating, stone and tiling, flooring, kitchen installation, bathroom installation, glazing and landscaping.
- Carry out daily quality inspections ensuring works meet drawings, specifications and client expectations.
- Produce and manage snagging lists, ensuring timely close-out of defects.
- Drive programme whilst maintaining exceptional quality standards.
- Coordinate Building Control inspections and consultant sign-offs.
- Assist with commissioning and testing of M&E installations.
- Manage site logistics during the finishing phase.
- Ensure materials are available ahead of programme requirements.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards throughout the project.
- Enforce Health & Safety standards and company procedures.
- Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman on high-end residential developments.
- Experience delivering bespoke luxury homes valued at £2m+.
- Strong understanding of premium finishes and attention to detail.
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent subcontractor management skills.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proactive approach to problem solving.
- Experience managing client and consultant expectations.
