Machine Operator Purpose of the Role Barker Ross is recruiting for an experienced Machine Setter/Operator to join a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining production machinery to ensure efficient, safe and high-quality production.
This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
You will work closely with the Shift Leader and Engineering team to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.
Shift - 5am-1pm Mon-Fri pay rate is 15.56 per hour Key Responsibilities Machine Operation Set up, operate and monitor production machinery to ensure efficient performance.
Prepare machinery for planned production changeovers.
Adjust machine settings for different production runs.
Record production data and machine performance.
Escalate technical or engineering issues in line with company procedures.
Maintenance Identify and resolve minor mechanical faults.
Carry out routine maintenance including cleaning, lubrication and machine resets.
Perform regular equipment checks to ensure optimal performance.
Complete maintenance handover documentation accurately.
Escalate major breakdowns to the Engineering team.
