Our public sector client based in Lambeth, South London is currently seeking an experienced 7.5T Refuse Collections Driver & Loader to join their team as soon as possible.
This will be a temporary opportunity, working ongoing until further notice. There is also the opportunity to gain a contract after 12 weeks, depending on performance.
The hours of work will be 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of Β£14.07 per hour.
As a Refuse Collections Driver/Loader, you will be required to complete various duties including:
- To carry out refuse/recycling/food/garden waste collections as per the contract requirement and specification, across any rounds required
- Completing various duties such as bulky collections, clearing refuse sacks, clearing fly tips etc.
- Driving 7.5T vehicles and lead a round for the safe and successful completion of daily operations
- Ensure compliance with fleet requirements, correctly recording working hours, defects & any other compliance required
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
In order to be considered for this role you must have:
- A licence with a C1 category, able to drive 7.5 tonne vehicles
- Able to complete manual handling and heavy lifting, as this is a very physically demanding role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good teamwork and a great attitude towards work
- Self-motivated and reliable
