Our client based in Liverpool is a leading supplier of quality used pallets, serving businesses across the UK and they currently have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join the team on a full time, permanent basis!

The hours of work are 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday working a total of 40 hours per week. The role is a hybrid position, with a mix of both office and remote working. The salary is Β£30,000 - Β£35,000 depending on experience.

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist with strong industry connections to help secure used pallets from leading logistics and courier companies.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Source and purchase used pallets efficiently, balancing cost, quality and delivery schedules
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, including major blue-chip logistics companies such as DHL, DPD, Royal Mail and Parcelforce
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts and delivery terms with suppliers
  • Monitor market trends and identify new sourcing opportunities
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and inventory management

In order to be considered for the role, candidates should have the following:

  • Proven procurement experience, ideally in logistics, supply chain or waste management
  • Strong negotiation, communication and supplier management skills
  • Knowledge of pallets, materials handling or waste/recycling operations (advantageous)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple sourcing projects
