Our NHS client based in Southampton has several exciting opportunities for Ward Hosts to join their team as soon as possible! This will be a temporary role, which will be ongoing until further notice and is starting as soon as possible. You will need to be available on Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd December to attend a 2-day induction, 9am-5pm on both days before moving onto your shift pattern.

The shifts we currently have available are:

  • 14:30 - 19:00 Monday to Friday (20 hours per week)
  • 15:00 - 18:30 Monday to Friday (15 hours per week)

The pay rate for the role will be £12.21 per hour.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Prepare and distribute patient meals/snacks and hot/cold beverages
  • Record food temperatures and fridge logs as per policy
  • Clean patient areas, including bed spaces, bathrooms, kitchens and communal areas to NHS cleaning standards
  • Perform daily deep cleaning tasks
  • Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
  • Respond to cleaning requests related to spills, bodily fluids or isolation areas
  • Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly

We are looking for candidates who have previous cleaning and/or catering experience, ideally within a hospital environment who are able to deliver excellent standards to patients across the site. Please note, a Standard DBS check with a 'Clear' result will be required for this role as part of the recruitment process for the NHS.
