Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland

Permanent | Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 40 hours per week

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience

We are currently recruiting for a leading global logistics and shipping company with operations across Ireland, the UK, Europe and Asia.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Transport Coordinator to join the Belfast team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in freight forwarding, groupage transport or logistics coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day UK import and transport activities
  • Prepare export documentation, manifests and Dangerous Goods Notifications (DGN's)
  • Book shipments onto the Azyra freight system
  • Ensure customs and shipping documentation is accurate and completed on time
  • Coordinate customer collections and deliveries with transport providers
  • Maintain accurate shipment files, including costing and invoicing
  • Scan and maintain Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation
  • Prepare and maintain KPI's
  • Maintain internal systems and ensure customer deadlines are met
  • Build strong relationships with customers and transport providers
  • Identify and escalate any potential delays or issues
  • Carry out other duties as required by management

We are looking for someone with:

  • At least 12 months' experience in a groupage shipping or transport environment
  • Experience with export and customs procedures
  • Dangerous Goods documentation experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities
  • Good computer skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work to deadlines
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A full clean driving licence and access to your own transport - essential
