Job Description NVQ Level 3 Carpenter \n Location: Brighton, East Sussex - BN2 Rate: Β£25.00 per hour CIS Working Hours: 7:30am - 6:00pm, with 10 hours paid Duration: Friday 11th September - Monday 21st September 2026 Parking: Available on site \n Barker Ross Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced NVQ Level 3 Carpenter for a temporary assignment on a construction site in Brighton. \n The successful candidate will have proven experience working within a construction environment and will be confident undertaking carpentry, handyman and general site duties in line with approved drawings and site requirements. \n Key Responsibilities: \n * Carrying out blockwork breakout \n * Installing V-mesh and timber hoarding in accordance with approved temporary works drawings \n * Installing and maintaining hole protection \n * Walkway management \n * Carrying out general carpentry and handyman duties as required \n * Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment \n Essential Requirements: \n * NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry or relevant Handyman qualification \n * Valid Blue Skilled Worker CSCS card required \n * Previous carpentry and handyman experience within a construction environment \n * Ability to read and work from approved temporary works drawings \n * Valid Right to Work in the UK \n * Share code, where applicable \n * Availability for the full duration of the assignment \n Required PPE: \n * Hi-vis vest \n * Hard hat \n * Safety boots \n * Gloves \n * Safety glasses \n Additional Information: \n * Parking is available on site \n * Candidates are advised to check their travel arrangements to BN2 before applying \n * Relevant qualifications and Right to Work documentation will be verified prior to placement \n If you meet the above requirements and are available for the full duration of the assignment, please apply with an up-to-date CV. \n #INDBRC \n Barker Ross Group values diversity and promotes equality.
