Job Description Estimator\n \n Location: Dronfield, S18 Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum Job Type: Permanent, Full Time \n Barker Ross are recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join a well-established construction contractor based in Dronfield. \n The business has a strong track record of delivering medium to large-scale construction projects across the commercial and healthcare sectors, including refurbishments, new build schemes and Design & Build projects. \n This is a permanent opportunity for an Estimator looking to join a busy and established team, with the chance to take ownership of tenders and play a key part in the continued growth of the business. \n \nThe Role\n \n As Estimator, your responsibilities will include: \n \n \n Managing tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission \n \n Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation \n \n Preparing accurate cost estimates and bills of quantities \n \n Obtaining and comparing subcontractor, labour, plant and material quotations \n \n Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing \n \n Producing detailed and consistent cost breakdowns \n \n Attending site visits and meetings where required \n \n Working closely with project managers, site teams, design teams and procurement \n \n Supporting improvements to estimating processes and cost control \n \n Assisting with commercial decisions to help maximise project profitability \n \n Projects are predominantly located around Sheffield and the surrounding areas , including Rotherham, Chesterfield, Mansfield, Newark and Nottingham. \n \nThe Ideal Candidate\n \n We are looking for someone with: \n \n \n Previous experience working as an Estimator within the construction industry \n \n Experience with refurbishment, commercial new build and Design & Build projects \n \n A strong understanding of construction methods and site requirements \n \n Experience reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents \n \n Strong numerical and analytical skills \n \n Good negotiation and communication abilities \n \n Excellent attention to detail \n \n The ability to manage deadlines and multiple tenders \n \n Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel \n \n Experience using Causeway would be advantageous, although not essential \n \n Knowledge of framework agreements would also be beneficial \n \n A full UK driving licence \n \n \nPackage\n \n \n \n Salary of £50,000 - £70,000 per annum , dependent on experience \n \n Permanent, full-time position \n \n 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays \n \n Company car or vehicle allowance \n \n Company mobile phone \n \n Contract award bonus scheme, dependent on salary \n \n Pension scheme \n \n One day working from home per week, subject to agreement \n \n This is an excellent opportunity to join an established construction business offering long-term stability, varied projects and the opportunity to develop within the company. \n For more information or to apply, please contact Lucy at Barker Ross . \n Barker Ross Group values diversity and promotes equality. n For the purposes of the Conduct Regulations 2003, when advertising permanent vacancies we are acting as an Employment Agency, and when advertising temporary/contract vacancies we are acting as an Employment Business. \
