As Transport Supervisor, you will support the day-to-day leadership of the transport operation, working closely with the management team to ensure it runs safely, efficiently and to the highest operational standards. Leading, motivating and developing a high-performing transport team · Supervising day-to-day transport operations and driver performance · Ensuring compliance with transport legislation, Health & Safety requirements and operational standards · Supporting effective planning, scheduling and resource allocation · Monitoring fleet and transport performance and identifying opportunities for improvement · Supporting the management team with operational and commercial objectives · Supporting the development and implementation of improved processes and ways of working · We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Transport Supervisor who is ready to take the next step in their career and develop towards a future management position. Proven experience supervising or leading a transport operation · Strong knowledge of transport operations and driver management · Good commercial awareness and an understanding of operational costs and performance · The ambition and desire to progress into a Transport Management role A CPC Transport Manager qualification would be advantageous, but is not essential for the right candidate. Experience with budgets, fleet performance, compliance or Health & Safety would also be beneficial, along with qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
