Purpose Of the Role: To carry out day-to-day operational warehousing activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods, with a strong focus on operating PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) equipment. You'll ensure the accurate and timely movement of stock while supporting the smooth running of the warehouse and maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute all core warehouse operations including goods receipt, accurate storage, order picking, PPT operation, retrieval, loading, and unloading of goods in line with company procedures.
- Operate PPT equipment safely and efficiently to move stock across the warehouse, following all health & safety guidelines.
- Conduct thorough checks and controls during each process to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, checking for damage, discrepancies, or missing items, and report issues promptly to supervisors.
- Follow scanning and inventory procedures to ensure stock is recorded and tracked accurately in the warehouse management system.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and order across all work areas, ensuring equipment is used safely and storage areas remain tidy and hazard-free.
- Support continuous improvement by following best practices and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency or accuracy in warehouse operations.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience operating PPT and handling heavy or high-value goods
- Strong team-player attitude
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work at a fast pace
- Ability to work on own initiative / unsupervised
- Computer literate
- Manual-handling skills
- Awareness of health & safety issues
- Numeracy and literacy skills
- Forklift licence (desirable)
Shift: Monday to Friday
Rotational schedule:
Week 1: 06:00 to 14:00
Week 2: 12:00 to 20:00
