Barker Ross are currently recruiting on behalf of a client in Biggleswade who are looking for a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver who enjoys a varied working day and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

The Role

Working within their pallet network, you'll be driving a curtain-sided vehicle and completing a mix of residential and business deliveries.

Your typical day will include

  • 5-10 multi-drop deliveries each day.
  • Morning deliveries, with most deliveries completed by lunchtime.
  • Afternoon collections from a variety of customer locations.
  • Loading, securing and checking freight.
  • Completing all paperwork and electronic PODs accurately.
  • Providing a professional and courteous service to our customers.
  • Electric pump truck for pallets.

What We're Looking For

  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
  • Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • A good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations.
  • Previous multi-drop or pallet network experience is preferred but not essential.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic and excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your daily route efficiently.
