Barker Ross Recruitment is currently recruiting for 2 experienced Handymen / Multi-Traders to join an ongoing student accommodation refurbishment project in London. The successful candidates will be working as part of the refurbishment team, carrying out general maintenance, repair and finishing duties across student accommodation units.

Role Details

  • Location: London
  • Start Date: Tuesday 25th August
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • Working Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • Paid Hours: 8 hours per day
  • Pay Rate: £20.00 per hour
  • Payment: Weekly
  • Positions Available: 2

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general handyman and multi-trade duties.
  • Complete minor repairs and maintenance works.
  • Assist with general refurbishment activities.
  • Carry out basic carpentry and making-good works.
  • Complete general snagging and finishing works.
  • Maintain clean and safe working areas.
  • Work efficiently to meet project deadlines.
  • Follow site health and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Handyman / Multi-Trader on construction or refurbishment projects.
  • Good general refurbishment experience.
  • Ability to carry out a range of basic construction and maintenance tasks.
  • Basic hand tools required.
  • Tools and materials will be available on site.
  • Full PPE required.
  • CSCS card is not required.
  • Minimum 2 recent work references.

Additional Information

This is an immediate-start opportunity for experienced operatives with a strong background in refurbishment and general multi-trade works. Candidates must be reliable, hard-working and able to work independently to a good standard.
