Barker Ross is currently recruiting for a Workshop Assembly Operative to join a well-established agricultural engineering company based in Corby. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for stable, long-term employment, with full training provided and the chance to develop practical skills in a workshop environment.

The Role
- Assisting with the assembly of irrigation systems and farm machinery
- Working on hose reels, including basic assembly and preparation
- Supporting pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and basic servicing of equipment
- Carrying out basic maintenance and cleaning of machinery
- Assisting engineers and technicians with general workshop duties
- Using hand and power tools
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials within the workshop
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
What We're Looking For
- A practical, hands-on approach
- Previous experience in a labouring, warehouse, or assembly role (advantageous but not essential)
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of tools and machinery
Desirable:
- Previous assembly or mechanical experience
- Forklift licence or Tractor licence
- Experience using hand and power tools
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 08:00-17:00
Friday: 08:00-16:30
