Job Title: Machine Shop Operator Location: Nottingham, NG4 Pay rate: £14.01 - £16.07 per hour Type: Permanent Hours of work: Full time Barker Ross are currently recruiting on behalf of a client based in Nottingham and are looking for a Machine Shop Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on workshop role involving batch manufacturing, machining, modification and assembly work. You will operate a range of conventional workshop machinery to produce and modify components to drawings, specifications and required tolerances. The Role You will be responsible for: Operating workshop machinery safely and efficiently Carrying out machining, cutting, drilling, tapping and assembly work Producing and modifying components for small-batch production Working from engineering drawings, measurements and job instructions Setting and checking machinery and materials before starting work Carrying out quality checks to ensure work meets the required specification Completing production records and reporting any defects or issues Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment Reporting equipment faults, maintenance requirements and safety concerns Machinery The role involves operating a variety of conventional workshop equipment, including: Harrison 400
