£30,379 + Overtime + Quarterly Bonus
4 on / 4 off shifts (2 days / 2 nights)

We're recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business supplying packaging solutions into the healthcare sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with machine operating experience gained within a manufacturing or packaging environment who is looking to develop their skills and train as an Extrusion Operator. What you'll be doing:

  • Operating production machinery safely and efficiently to meet production targets and quality standards
  • Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments where required
  • Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet specification
  • Loading and handling raw materials in line with production requirements
  • Recording production data accurately and maintaining relevant documentation
  • Identifying and reporting machine faults or maintenance requirements
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Working closely with Team Leaders and the wider production team
  • Undertaking full training to develop into an Extrusion Operator role
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality

  • Previous machine operating experience within a manufacturing, production, or packaging environment
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new processes
  • An interest in developing a career within extrusion manufacturing
  • Good understanding of health & safety and quality standards
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to specifications
  • Reliable, proactive attitude with excellent teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
  • Own transport due to site location
