Grounds Maintenance & Cleaning Team Leader on behalf of our client based in Chichester.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and hands-on individual with experience in grounds maintenance, cleaning, and team leadership.

You'll be responsible for leading a team delivering high-quality grounds maintenance and cleaning services across a range of residential housing sites, including general needs estates, sheltered accommodation, and extra care facilities throughout Sussex and Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team carrying out grounds maintenance and cleaning duties across multiple sites.
  • Organise daily workloads and ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Carry out regular site inspections and quality checks.
  • Undertake grounds maintenance duties including mowing, strimming, weeding, hedge maintenance, and litter picking.
  • Complete cleaning duties including mopping, sweeping, dusting, and maintaining communal areas.
  • Quote for additional works and arrange completion where required.
  • Report repairs and maintenance issues within communal areas.
  • Monitor equipment and materials, ensuring machinery is safe to use and advise management when equipment or supplies need replacing.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance and/or commercial cleaning.
  • Previous experience in a Team Leader or Supervisory role.
  • Full UK manual driving licence (essential).
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate a team and maintain high standards.
  • A proactive, reliable, and customer-focused approach.
