The Role

As Transport Planner, you'll thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where no two days are the same. Key responsibilities include:

• Optimising rail traffic plans to ensure efficient, and reliable operations driven by utilisation and profitability
• Proactively resolving unforeseen challenges with minimal operational impact
• Managing customer expectations with professionalism and confidence
• Engaging with stakeholders at all levels across the business
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within transport operations
• Supporting operational efficiency across rail, container logistics and multimodal movements (experience in these areas is highly desirable)

This role would particularly suit someone with exposure to container logistics and/or multimodal transport operations with a focus on rail, who understands the complexities of time-sensitive movements and thrives on solving logistical challenges.

The Package

Competitive starting salary (up to £37K), performance-related bonus, car or car allowance (following probation) (£7K), contributory pension, annual salary review, strong long-term career progression prospects, supportive, ambitious and growth-focused culture.

The role would suit an experienced Transport Planning professional within logistics / container transport planning. The position is offered on a Mon to Fri (7am to 5pm) basis.
