School Caretaker / Facilities Maintenance Operative Location: Slough, Berkshire Job Type : Permanent Working days: Monday to Friday Shift patterns: 6:30 am - 2:30 pm or 10:30 am - 6:30 pm DBS requirement: Enhanced DBS check Required About the Role The successful candidate will help ensure that school buildings, grounds and facilities remain safe, secure, clean and well maintained. This is a varied role suited to someone with previous experience in caretaking, facilities management, general maintenance or building services.
Responsibilities:
General caretaking, opening and securing buildings, cleaning, litter picking, room setups and site inspections. Maintenance Duties: Carry out general DIY, minor plumbing, carpentry, repairs and routine maintenance; liaise with contractors when required.
Requirements:
Previous caretaking, facilities or maintenance experience, good communication skills, a proactive approach and satisfactory DBS clearance.
