Overview
Our client based in the Sleaford area is a leading provider of paper based products. They require an HR Officer to join their busy team on an interim basis. Initially for 3 months, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply for the role directly.
Hours & Location
08:30 am to 05:00 pm, Monday to Friday. This role is based fully in the office; hybrid working is not suitable due to the 24/7 manufacturing operation.
Compensation
The hourly rate is ÂŁ17.12 per hour.
Key Duties
- First point of contact for all employee HR‑related queries.
- Provide administrative support to the HR Department.
- Run the weekly payroll and create data reports for HRBP, Finance and Operations.
- Carry out new‑starter induction presentations and ensure all relevant documents are received.
- Maintain HR systems and pass on relevant information to Payroll and HRBP as required.
- Complete key performance metrics each week.
- Place workwear orders as required for employees.
- Track cost incurred by the HR Department.
- Support the administration of exceptional projects.
- Prepare the employee list for those receiving company shop stock once a month.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies.
- Manage HR time and attendance system, ensuring the information is accurate and real‑time.
- Assist with any employee relations meetings.
- Support the full onboarding process from job requirement through to end of probationary period.
- Involve with customer audits, providing documentation and evidence.
- Support the business’ CSR policy, contacting charities and arranging deliveries of second‑stock stock.
- Work alongside the training team to support them in specific tasks.
- Support the training of new systems to the wider employees.
- Carry out any other duties within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
Qualifications
- Ideally CIPD Level 3 or higher.
- Previous HR experience within a working career.
