We are looking for a skilled Machine Operative to join our leading design, manufacture, and supply client in NG17. The ideal candidate will have experience in metalworking and will be confident operating a plasma cutting machine to cut steel to precise specifications.
This role also requires valid crane training (within the last 5 years) as part of our safety procedures.
- Operate plasma cutting machinery to produce high-quality steel components
- Load and unload materials using cranes safely
- Contribute to a team-focused, production-driven environment
- Meet performance targets within our piece work bonus system
Competitive starting rate: £14.12/hour during initial training period (approx. 6 weeks, automatic 100% performance pay). Potential to earn up to £16.03/hour based on performance. Overtime opportunities at time and a half.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in metalworking or operating plasma cutting machines
- Valid crane training certificate (within the last 5 years)
- Ability to work within a piece work bonus system and meet production targets
