Salary: Competitive, depending on experience About the Role We are currently recruiting for a skilled Revit / CAD Technician MEP to join an established building services engineering consultancy based in Nottingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Revit / CAD Technician to work on a variety of mechanical and electrical building services projects across sectors such as commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, leisure and retail.
The successful candidate will support engineers in producing high-quality 2D drawings and 3D models using Revit MEP and Auto CAD .
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary design team, helping to deliver accurate, coordinated and efficient BIM outputs from early design stages through to project completion.
Key Responsibilities As a Revit / CAD Technician, your duties will include: Producing and maintaining detailed 2D and 3D models for mechanical and electrical building services using Auto CAD and Revit MEP.
Supporting engineers with coordinated drawings and BIM outputs across a range of building services projects.
Ensuring all drawings, models and project documentation are accurate and completed in line with company standards.
Keeping up to date with the latest Auto CAD, Revit and BIM software developments.
Supporting the development and improvement of Revit processes, standards and best practices.
Coordinating design information with engineers, technicians and other disciplines.
Attending internal and project meetings to support design coordination and project delivery.
Managing the flow of project information to ensure timely and accurate communication.
Delivering high-quality work within agreed deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Candidate Requirements The ideal candidate will have: A minimum of 23 years experience using Revit MEP within a building services consultancy or contractor environment.
A strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical building services systems.
Good working knowledge of Revit MEP and Auto CAD.
An understanding of BIM processes and coordination principles.
Excellent attention to detail.
The ability to work to deadlines and manage workload effectively.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A proactive, organised and problem-solving approach.
Desirable Experience Experience using Navisworks.
Knowledge of Dynamo or other related BIM tools.
Understanding of BIM processes and ISO 19650 standards.
