As a global leader in professional garments and linen rental services, with 80% of group revenue driven by textile solutions and with annual investments of several hundred million pounds, optimising cost, quality and customer value is a strategic priority across the Group and in the UK. The Demand Planning Manager takes ownership of this. The circular economy model ensures products are designed, maintained and utilised for maximum durability and functionality. As Demand Planning Manager, you will play a critical role in protecting and maximising the value of this investment at site level.

The Role

  • You will take ownership of linen management for your site, ensuring customer product availability is maximised while controlling textile spend and delivering measurable financial performance.
  • Acting as the site's Centre of Knowledge for textile configuration and customer setup within the business, you will balance customer demand, operational capability and budget control - flexing demand seasonally and driving best practice across the laundry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor and forecast linen demand, identifying risks and agreeing action plans.
  • Ensure customers are set up on appropriate service types and replenishment levels.
  • Work closely with Operations to minimise unnecessary textile investment through compliant rewash and rag-out processes.
  • Manage and monitor the financial performance of the linen pool against budget.
  • Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reporting.
  • Liaise with Account Management and Customer Services to optimise customer outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and maximise textile utilisation.

About You

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present clear insights.
  • Commercially aware and comfortable managing budgets.
  • Confident working cross-functionally across operations and commercial teams.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • IT literate (MS Office & ERP systems).
  • Flexible, proactive and able to respond quickly to business needs.
  • Degree educated or equivalent experience within a customer-focused service environment.
  • Experience of continuous improvement programmes is advantageous.
