Ready to take the next step in your career? Join an international market leader and build your future with us.

Are you a driven, proactive and commercially minded Credit Controller who thrives in a fast‑paced environment?

Do you enjoy taking ownership, solving problems and delivering tangible results?

If you are looking for an opportunity to broaden your experience, develop your skills and progress your career within a successful international business, this could be the role for you.

We are looking for an ambitious Credit Controller to join our busy Support Function, supporting our Healthcare & Hospitality business.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic team where no two days are the same, your contribution makes a real difference, and your potential to grow is encouraged.

As an international leader in our field, we offer the scale, expertise and opportunities of an established business, combined with the chance to develop your commercial knowledge, strengthen your financial skills and build a rewarding long‑term career.

The opportunity

Working as part of our Credit Control team, you will take ownership of a customer ledger, playing a key role in effective cash collection, debt management and the overall financial performance of the business.

This is a hands‑on role in a busy, demanding environment, ideal for someone who enjoys working at pace, takes pride in achieving targets and has the confidence to tackle challenges head‑on.

You will have the opportunity to build strong customer relationships, resolve complex queries, negotiate payment solutions and work collaboratively with colleagues across the business.

We want someone who is not content simply to follow a process, but who looks for solutions, takes the initiative and continually seeks better ways of working.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Taking ownership of your ledger: Proactively managing customer accounts, monitoring outstanding debt and driving timely payment in line with agreed commercial terms.
  • Delivering results: Making daily customer calls, following up on overdue balances and working consistently towards collection targets.
  • Building relationships: Communicating confidently with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries, overcome obstacles and secure positive outcomes.
  • Solving problems: Investigating disputed invoices, resolving account discrepancies, undertaking complex reconciliations and negotiating appropriate payment arrangements.
  • Managing cash and accounts: Taking responsibility for cash allocation, maintaining accurate customer records and ensuring account information is kept up to date.
  • Providing insight: Producing credit control reports, monitoring account performance and identifying issues that could affect cash flow or debt recovery.
  • Supporting effective processes: Ensuring work is completed accurately and on time, following company policies, commercial terms and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Contributing to the wider team: Sharing ideas, supporting continuous improvement and helping to create a positive, collaborative and high‑performing working environment.

What we're looking for

We are interested in your attitude, drive and potential, as well as your existing experience.

  • Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable or a similar finance or administration role.
  • A proactive, results‑driven approach, with the determination to follow through and achieve collection targets.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to manage challenging conversations professionally.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines.
  • A commercial mindset and the ability to understand how effective credit control contributes to business performance and cash flow.
  • A practical, solutions‑focused approach to resolving queries, reconciling accounts and managing disputes.
  • The initiative to work independently, make sound decisions within agreed guidelines and take responsibility for your results.
  • A customer‑focused attitude, balancing effective debt recovery with the importance of maintaining positive business relationships.
  • Good IT, administration and reporting skills.

An accounting or finance qualification, or a business‑related degree, would be an advantage, but it is not essential.

We are equally interested in candidates who have built their experience through work and are keen to continue developing professionally.

Why join us?

This is an opportunity to build a career, not simply fill a position.

Joining an international leader in its field gives you the chance to gain valuable experience within a busy, commercially focused organisation and develop skills that can open doors to future opportunities.

In return for your commitment and ambition, we offer

  • Career development: The opportunity to broaden your experience, take on greater responsibility and explore future career opportunities within the business.
  • Professional qualifications: Support with the funding of further relevant professional qualifications, helping you invest in your knowledge, skills and long‑term career.
  • Valuable commercial exposure: Experience of a demanding, fast‑moving business where you can develop your understanding of financial processes, customer relationships and cash management.
  • A dynamic working environment: The chance to work alongside colleagues who value initiative, collaboration and a commitment to achieving results.
  • The opportunity to make an impact: A role where your ownership, ideas and performance contribute directly to the effectiveness of the business.
