We're recruiting for a Production Runner / Slitting Support Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business supplying packaging solutions into the healthcare sector. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability within a growing manufacturing environment. What you'll be doing:
- Removing trim waste and replacing waste bags throughout the production area
- Removing waste skips and ensuring waste is disposed of in line with company procedures
- Operating baling equipment for laminate waste safely and efficiently
- Cutting cores to exact customer and production specifications
- Identifying and preparing production materials for slitting lines
- Collecting materials from storage locations and completing location transfers
- Carrying out stock level checks and identifying replenishment requirements
- Transferring materials from slitting locations to warehouse areas using scanning systems
- Operating rewinding machines in line with company policies and training procedures
- Supplying slitters with consumables ahead of production requirements
- Maintaining a clean and organised production environment through clean-as-you-go practices
- Supporting slitting operations to improve production efficiency and workflow
What we're looking for:
- Previous manufacturing, production or warehouse experience
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work efficiently and support multiple production activities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specifications accurately
- A proactive attitude with good teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to maintain high housekeeping and waste management standards
- Own transport due to site location
