We're recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business supplying packaging solutions into the healthcare sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Machine Operator from a manufacturing, production, or packaging environment who is looking to develop their skills and train as a Lamination Operator. What you'll be doing:
- Operating production machinery safely and efficiently to meet production and quality targets
- Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments where required
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications
- Loading, handling and preparing materials in line with production requirements
- Accurately completing production reports and relevant documentation
- Identifying and reporting machine faults or maintenance concerns
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, waste management and health & safety
- Supporting wider production activities and continuous improvement initiatives
- Working closely with Team Leaders and production colleagues
- Undertaking full training to develop into a Lamination Operator role
What we're looking for:
- Previous machine operating experience within a manufacturing, production, or packaging environment
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn specialist lamination processes
- Good understanding of production, quality, and health & safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Reliable, proactive approach with strong teamwork skills
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (06:00-18:00 / 18:00-06:00)
- Own transport due to site location
