We're recruiting for an Extrusion Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business supplying packaging solutions into the healthcare sector. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability within a growing manufacturing environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Operating extruder machinery to produce blown film safely and efficiently in line with production specifications
- Setting up and adjusting machine settings to ensure product quality and consistency
- Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments where required to maintain output standards
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure product meets required specifications
- Recording production data accurately and maintaining relevant documentation
- Identifying and reporting any machine faults or maintenance requirements to minimise downtime
- Ensuring materials are loaded, handled and used correctly in line with job requirements
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area at all times
- Supporting continuous improvement in production efficiency and product quality
- Working collaboratively with Team Leaders and wider production teams
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience operating machinery (extrusion experience desirable but not essential)
- Good understanding of health & safety and quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to specification
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Reliable, proactive attitude with good teamwork skills
- Own transport due to site location
