Barker Ross are currently looking for an enthusiastic fitter engineer to join our clients PDI/Service department in Corby, on a temp to perm contract starting asap. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer to work on new irrigation equipment, carrying out pre delivery inspections as well as building machines to customer specifications. Servicing and carrying out repairs to customers equipment both here and on site across the country. Much of the work is factory based and the role requires a self-motivated and conscientious person with a good eye for detail.

The ideal candidate will be from an agricultural/mechanical engineering background and capable of working on their own initiative or as part of a small team. However, experience in the motor industry/machine/industrial/plant maintenance sectors will also be considered. It is essential the candidate possesses strong communication and customer skills. A full UK driving licence is required. A counterbalance fork truck licence is an advantage, but not essential.
The company will provide comprehensive product training and on the use of all relevant equipment on site. Hours are Monday to Friday 08:00am to 17:00pm, Friday 16:30pm finish.
