Barker Ross is recruiting on behalf of our Coldstore client for a proactive and detailed orientated Quality Control & Warehouse Inventory Associate to support the accurate management of customer stock within their automated warehouse environment. This is a maternity cover contract.
Location: Corby
Hours: 06:30- 18:30 4 on 4 off
£15.00 per hour
You will ensure all customer stock is accurately recorded upon entry and exit from the warehouse, handle stock related requests efficiently and maintain on-the-ground visibility to prevent and resolve issues before they impact operations. This role requires both administrative and hands-on work within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:- Inventory Control & Quality Assurance:
- Conduct monthly inbound and outbound audits for all customer accounts.
- Log, investigate and report stock discrepancies professionally to clients.
- Perform daily/weekly/monthly stock control tasks, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Investigate missing and mislabelled pallets and resolve root causes.
- Carry out system investigations to identify stock movement or process issues.
- Conduct pick floor stock counts and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with agreed stock accuracy and audit standards.
- Action consolidation/restock on customer request.
- Process and check refused or returned pallets.
- Identify and manage return pallets.
- Unpick and re-stack pallets as per customer specifications.
- Handle damaged stock by building disposal pallets in line with customer guidelines.
- Act as first point for inventory-related issues from client and delivery points.
- Respond to customer emails and queries in a timely, professional manner.
- Liaise with clients on order cancellations and allocation changes, especially outside regular office hours and on weekends.
- Attend customers weekly stock meeting to raise and resolve stock issues.
- Proven experience in inventory, stock control or quality control within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Competent using Warehouse Management Systems.
- MHE Licence is preferred or willingness to be trained.
