Barker Ross are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our well-established logistics clients for experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers based in Burton Latimer, Kettering.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy transport operation offering regular work, weekly shift schedules and ongoing assignments.
About the Role
Our client is based in Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire and operates a busy transport operation delivering on behalf of a leading UK manufacturer. The role primarily involves Class 1 curtain-sided deliveries to major supermarket distribution centres, along with collections and return loads following customer deliveries.
What's on Offer? Ad-Regular ongoing work. Weekly shift schedules provided. Afternoon shifts offer the most consistent work. Competitive rates of pay. Paid driving assessment. Ad-hoc Monday to Friday shifts or 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
Duties Include Curtain-sided trailer work. Deliveries to supermarket RDCs. Collections and return loads. General haulage duties. Safe and professional vehicle operation. Completing all relevant paperwork accurately.
Some deliveries may require the use of a Powered Pallet Truck (PPT),
Requirements Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence. Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card. Minimum 6 months' Class 1 driving experience. Good communication and customer service skills. Flexible to work within a 2-hour start time window. A positive attitude and reliable work ethic. Driver Assessment
