Our public sector client based in Sunderland has several exciting opportunities for experienced School Catering Assistants to join their team as soon as possible. The roles are temporary, lasting until the end of January initially however, this could be extended depending on the needs of the business. These are part time opportunities, working 15 hours per week. The shift pattern may vary slightly depending on which kitchen you are working at but will be approximately 10:30am-1:30pm Monday to Friday, term time only. The pay rate for the role is £12.00 per hour. You will be required to work at various schools across Sunderland which will be within the general vicinity of where you are living if possible. Duties of the role will include:- Serving pupils and teachers their school dinner at lunchtime Simple food preparation such as making sandwiches & salads (not cooking) Washing up and cleaning the kitchen Moving dining furniture and setting up the dining hall before service To be considered for the role, you must have an Enhanced DBS with Child Barring list check, as well as basic food hygiene training.
