Barker Ross is currently recruiting for an experienced PPT Driver to join a busy warehouse operation based in the NN4 area.
Pay & Working Hours
- £12.72 per hour
- Monday to Friday
- 22:00pm - 06:30am
The Role
As a PPT Driver, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. This is a hands-on role that combines PPT driving with general warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) safely and efficiently
- Picking and packing orders accurately
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Receiving and storing stock in designated warehouse locations
- Using handheld scanners and warehouse systems to manage inventory
- Carrying out quality checks on incoming and outgoing goods
- Reporting any stock discrepancies, damages, or operational issues
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Following all health & safety procedures and site regulations
- Supporting the warehouse team to achieve daily targets
What We're Looking For
- Previous PPT experience is essential
- Previous warehouse experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer literacy
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Understanding of warehouse health & safety practices
