Barker Munro recruitment are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Agricultural Underwriter to join a friendly, supportive team. This position presents a unique opportunity for candidates with a solid background in agricultural / farming combined underwriting to contribute to this market-leading operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and evaluate opportunities for providing tailored insurance solutions to existing clients and brokers across the UK.
- Independently review and analyse underwriting submissions to ensure accuracy and adherence to relevant guidelines.
- Use your expertise to make informed decisions that benefit both the client and the organisation.
- Operate within your delegated underwriting authority to effectively underwrite both new business and renewals, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in agricultural / farming combined underwriting (property, liability, business interruption).
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, allowing you to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive, self-starter with strong organisational skills to effectively manage your workload and meet deadlines.
- This role requires you to work half of your week in the office – they have multiple branches in the UK so there should be an office in commuting distance from you.
