Personal Injury Claims Handler

Location: Manchester (1 day in the office per week after training)

Salary: £27,000 – £30,000

Barker Munro Recruitment is recruiting for a new role within this expanding and highly impressive organisation to join the Personal Injury team.

If you have OIC portal experience and exposure to liability, indemnity, and some PI claims handling, you\’ll be a perfect fit! You should be an excellent communicator, assertive, and enjoy providing customers with peace of mind.

You will receive a competitive starting salary up to £30,000, depending on experience, plus fantastic benefits.

We offer excellent career progression opportunities with increased salary at each promotion. The role is Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with flexibility and hybrid working arrangements: 1 day in the office and 4 days from home, following training and the initial few weeks in the office.

Job responsibilities:

  1. Proactively manage injury claims within a personal authority amount.
  2. Validate policy indemnity for each claim, ensuring the correct insurer status is applied.
  3. Manage Third Party Property Damage (TPPD), including credit hire claims, and process claim payments.
  4. Handle all incoming correspondence via telephone, email, and letter.
  5. Identify potential fraud claims.
