Barker Munro recruitment is seeking an experienced Claims handler to work as a Recoveries Case Handler for our client who is well respected in this field. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of marine cargo recoveries and support the wider Marine team.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle your own marine cargo recovery cases from start to finish
- Assist the Recoveries Director with their caseload
- Liaise with third parties, P&I Clubs, lawyers, and brokers
Requirements
- Ideally 2+ years in marine claims, ideally in recoveries/subrogation
- Experience with recoveries under Road, Land, and Sea Conventions
- Strong admin, negotiation, and communication skills
- Good Maths and English skills
- Proactive, eager to learn, and willing to study for industry qualifications
