Barker Munro recruitment, the specialist insurance recruitment agency in Kent, is working on behalf of a well-established, traditional insurance Broker who are embarking on the next phase of their expansion and have a need for an Insurance Executive.
The main purpose of this role is to take responsibility for a number of renewals each month (mainly telephone based). You will also be responsible for identifying and initiating cross-sales opportunities to existing clients introducing various products to your client base. You will obtain updated information from clients, negotiate with Insurers and sell benefits of renewal and the products to the clients. Dealing with a wide range of commercial insurance risks with premium levels of between £500 and £30,000. This is a pro-active role and will involve new business in addition to the renewals.
As an Insurance Executive, you will also need to deal with the Commercial Administration, dealing directly with clients. This will include managing midterm alterations/policy changes, setting up computer records, issuing documents to clients, checking incoming proposal forms, diary management, renewal rebroking and creating client schedules. You may also need to visit clients face to face when required.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and solid commercial insurance experience, gained within an Insurance Broking environment in the UK. Alternatively, there is consideration to CVs that have been working mainly within Home or Motor insurance and looking to move into the commercial insurance space. It will suit someone who is career minded, highly motivated and who enjoys relationship building/liaising with clients.
