Position

We currently have a vacancy open for a Building Surveyor who is looking to develop their career, working on a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the UK. This role will be based at our Birmingham office; subject to business requirements, the role may be eligible for hybrid working.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with conducting building condition surveys and producing clear, insightful reports for clients.
  • Supporting the preparation of tender documentation – including drawings, specifications, and schedules of work.
  • Assisting with tender submissions, contractor analysis, and the drafting of JCT construction contracts.
  • Taking part in pre‑contract briefings and ensuring smooth project handovers with the team.
  • Carrying out regular site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and health & safety compliance.
  • Attending client and project meetings, representing the business with professionalism and technical confidence.
  • Travelling to sites and client locations as required.

Qualifications

  • A relevant degree or strong working experience.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD.
  • Working towards or hoping to achieve RICS Chartership.
  • License to use drones on construction sites (Desirable).
  • CSCS Card (Desirable).

This role requires you to have a full clean driving licence with access to your own vehicle, and will be subject to a DBS Enhanced check.

Hours

Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm (finishing at 4:30 on Friday!)

Holiday

25 days (pro‑rated) plus bank holidays.
