Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering us to help progress your career. Firstly, who are BARK.London? We Do Growth. We’re a specialist performance marketing agency for category-leading direct-to-consumer ecommerce brands & retailers. We have one aim: help businesses grow. Practically, we do this with best-in-class paid media, data science; and full-suite creative.

Our vision is for Bark.London to be a vehicle for our team to achieve what they want to achieve: personal & professional. We’ll support them (you!) in whatever that might be and recognise that it’s our job as an employer to give our team every opportunity to make their goals a reality. We want to continue building an amazing place to work. A place where you can be yourself, do your best, and ultimately grow as both a person and a colleague. We do this through a supportive culture, flexible working, perks and continuous commitment to learning and development.

Part of becoming a great place to work is that we’re committed to including people of all backgrounds and experiences. That includes race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, age, political affiliation, family or parental status. We want to hear from you!

Over the past five years, we’ve grown in size and reputation quickly by hiring exceptionally talented people who truly care about getting results for the businesses we partner with, then providing them with the tools, support and training they need to excel. We’re a fast growing team that packs a punch and currently manages over 2x the annual spend of the “big 6” agencies on social alone. Our creative team alone has grown from zero to nine members in the past 18 months, and the wider business is currently on pace to double in size again within the next 12 months. As such, we’re searching for an inspiring Motion Graphics Designer to help create content to power the growth of pioneering DTC brands and build on our existing reputation for excellence.

We’re looking for someone who wants to join a quickly growing, well organised people-first business at an incredibly exciting and pivotal time of growth, whilst accelerating their own career. This is a rare opportunity to join a rapidly growing company – without all the pitfalls of typical ‘startups’ – and personally impact the growth of businesses that are making a real difference.

99% of our clients are direct to consumer eCommerce brands and typically fall somewhere into the below categories:

  • Fashion, apparel, jewellery
  • FMCG
  • Greetings & misc. gifts
  • Sports & fitness
  • Subscriptions

Many are venture capital backed. Many are bootstrapped, founder owned & run. They all trust us to lead their growth. Importantly, we ensure every client we sign is thoroughly vetted before we even offer to take them on. It’s important to us to grow the right way, with clients who we genuinely want to work with.

They’ve got to pass the “lunch test”. They’ve got to be genuine, decent people to work with. Would we want to hang out or go and have lunch with them? Great relationships breed great work, and we want to give you a supportive environment to work and grow in, not clients who are rude or unreasonable. They’ve got to have a product(s) and brand we can get excited about as a team. Nothing worse than working on a brand you don’t believe in. They’ve got to want to grow and be in a position to support that growth. We partner with businesses to scale their customer acquisition, not just to push buttons in ad accounts.

If they fit this criteria and we want to work together, then we’ll go ahead, but only if we’re sure it will be a strong partnership and only if we’re confident we have the capacity and resource in the team to make it happen.

We’ve gone against the typical agency model and hired an extremely senior to mid-level team first. Logic being, it’s important to build a firm foundation: be in a position to actually provide a great service to clients, and provide consistent up-skilling opportunities to the wider team as we grow.

We’re looking for a Senior Creative (Motion & Graphic Designer) to join us who is excited about taking on a new challenge and quickly growing with us as a business. This is a rare opportunity to join a rapidly growing department, taking on a lot of responsibility in a lead role as we continue to rapidly grow.

If you have a passion for creating motion and graphics content to directly impact business growth, discovering social trends, capturing an audience, building businesses, and are keen to have a lot of fun doing it – this is the role for you.

Day to day you will work closely with our Creative & Paid Media Teams at all levels to make brand and performance-led content for our clients’ paid social advertising channels. Driven by the data that our wider team specialises in, this content will be optimised for peak ad-performance.

Motion-design is a requirement, but you should also be comfortable with still imagery. While support is always on-hand, this is a senior role and you will be expected to be comfortable with a large degree of independence from the get-go.

We’re Looking For Someone:

  • With the “creative eye”. High attention to detail and naturally gifted creatively.
  • With 3-5 years of industry experience.
  • Deeply interested in social-media and how it can be harnessed to help businesses grow.
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud. After Effects and Photoshop are a must-have.
  • Highly organised. You will be in charge of managing your own deadlines and workload.
  • Switched-on, ambitious, and full of spark.

We do a fair amount of company socials, hangouts, breaks, events and meet-ups and you’ll be expected to have fun and create some of the best work of your career. But it’s important to recognise that we have very high standards of each other and expect a lot from one another, particularly given we’re a hybrid business where results do the talking.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and learning about Bark.London. If you’re excited by the opportunity and fit the bill, please get in touch – we’d love to meet you.
