Firstly, who are BARK.London?

We Do Growth. We’re a specialist performance marketing agency for category-leading direct-to-consumer ecommerce brands & retailers. We have one aim: help businesses grow. Practically, we do this with best-in-class paid media, data science; and full-suite creative.

We’re officially Performance Marketing Agency of the Year 2024, Most Impactful Performance Marketing Agency of 2023, and double Meta Business Partners, as well as Google and TikTok Partners.

Our vision is for Bark.London to be a vehicle for our team to achieve what they want to achieve: personal & professional. We’ll support them (you!) in whatever that might be and recognise that it’s our job as an employer to give our team every opportunity to make their goals a reality.

We want to continue building an amazing place to work. A place where you can be yourself, do your best, and ultimately grow as both a person and a colleague. We do this through a supportive culture, flexible working, perks and continuous commitment to learning and development.

Part of becoming a great place to work is that we’re committed to including people of all backgrounds and experiences. That includes race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, age, political affiliation, family or parental status. We want to hear from you!

Why is this a unique opportunity?

Over the past four years, we’ve grown in size and reputation quickly by hiring exceptionally talented people who truly care about getting results for the businesses we partner with, then providing them with the tools, support and training they need to excel.

We’re a fast growing team that packs a punch and currently manages over 2x the annual spend of the “big 6” agencies on social alone. We’re currently on pace to double in size again within the next 12 months – headcount estimated to be 40+ – and are searching for an inspiring Growth Manager (Performance Marketing) to help lead the growth of pioneering DTC brands and build on our existing reputation for excellence.

We’re looking for someone who wants to join a quickly growing, well organised people-first business at an incredibly exciting and pivotal time of growth, whilst accelerating their own career. This is a rare opportunity to join a rapidly growing company – without all the pitfalls of typical ‘startups’ – and personally impact the growth of businesses that are making a real difference.

Our Clients

99% of our clients are direct to consumer eCommerce brands and typically fall somewhere into the below categories:

  • Fashion, apparel, jewellery
  • FMCG
  • Greetings & misc. gifts
  • Sports & fitness
  • Subscriptions

Many are venture capital backed. Many are bootstrapped, founder owned & run. They all trust us to lead their growth.

Importantly, we ensure every client we sign is thoroughly vetted before we even offer to take them on. It’s important to us to grow the right way, with clients who we genuinely want to work with.

Here’s Our Criteria

  • They’ve got to pass the “lunch test”. They’ve got to be genuine, decent people to work with. Would we want to hang out or go and have lunch with them? Great relationships breed great work, and we want to give you a supportive environment to work and grow in, not clients who are rude or unreasonable.
  • They’ve got to have a product(s) and brand we can get excited about as a team. Nothing worse than working on a brand you don’t believe in.
  • They’ve got to want to grow and be in a position to support that growth. We partner with businesses to scale their customer acquisition, not just to push buttons in ad accounts.

If they fit this criteria and we want to work together, then we’ll go ahead, but only if we’re sure it will be a strong partnership and only if we’re confident we have the capacity and resource in the team to make it happen.

Just some of our clients (Paid Social, Google PPC, Attribution, Creative): Chilly’s Bottles, Getir, FreeSoul, Dash Water, Not-Another-Bill, Aligne …amongst others.

Our Team

We’ve gone against the typical agency model and hired an extremely senior to mid-level team first. Logic being, it’s important to build a firm foundation: be in a position to actually provide a great service to clients, and provide consistent up-skilling opportunities to the wider team as we grow.

Paid Media Team (you)

From Performance Marketing Executives to “Heads Of”, all incredibly strong on data, communication, creative and DTC strategy. As a team, they ensure our clients’ advertising is profitable and efficient as well as leading creative strategy and briefs to drive growth. They have a huge amount of freedom to advise the clients on what they should be doing, and have our full backing.

Data Science Team

Answering the hard questions and problems that can unlock the next leg of growth for our client partners.

Creative Team

A rapidly growing department designing and delivering paid advertising creative that just works. We offer full high-end production, low-fi influencer or user generated content (UGC), and asset design service combining a mix of photography, videography, motion graphics, copywriting and much more. Each of our team members is empowered to be a cross-channel specialist. Everyone works and communicates closely with each other at all levels of the business.

The Role

We’re looking for a Growth Manager (performance marketing) to join us who is excited about taking on a new challenge and growing with us as a business. Day to day, you will be a part of the full client lifecycle: everything from new business and onboarding new clients, to leading in ad accounts (Google & Facebook) and growing our clients’ businesses for the long term through effective strategy, analysis and optimisation.

You must be switched on, ambitious, have a positive attitude and a desire to learn new things, as well as the ability to pick yourself up after making mistakes. Ideally you should have at least 3-5 years’+ experience in performance marketing in an eCommerce focused role, either agency or client side, whether that is Paid Social or Google PPC.

We have regular company socials, hangouts, events and meetups, with a real focus on maintaining our company culture. If you’re enthused by being surrounded by a fun, high performing A-team, doing some of the best work of their career, who challenge and bring out the best in each other, we want to hear from you!

Here are some things you should know about how we work and what we expect as a team:

  • Work smart and do work you’re proud of.
  • Your time is your own. Manage it well.
  • Our clients are our partners, always do the right thing for them.
  • Embrace failure, we learn the most when we make mistakes.
  • Get involved and enjoy yourself.
