The Opportunity
And Co. Brands is looking for a high-energy, articulate, and driven Business Development Executive to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work across two distinct premium brands: our professional-grade drinkware and hardware brand, Barista & Co and heritage brand Bialetti. Whether you are a recent graduate looking for a career-starting "break" or you have a couple of years experience, we provide full training to help you master structured outreach and account management.
The Role
As a Business Development Executive, you will be the front line of our growth strategy. You will balance your time between handling inbound interest and proactively hunting for new partners that match our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). Specifically you will be focused on retail listing and custom / collaboration ranges. This is a ground up role and you will have full training on sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Outreach: Identify and target key decision-makers via a structured outreach system (Email, Telephone, and LinkedIn).
- Proactive Sales: Confidently pick up the phone to qualify inbound leads and initiate conversations with cold prospects.
- Multi-Brand Portfolio Management: Pitch varied product lines, from coffee hardware to hydration gear, tailoring your approach to the specific account.
- Account Nurturing: Maintain and grow relationships with existing accounts to ensure long-term brand loyalty and repeat orders.
- CRM Management: Utilise HubSpot to track your pipeline, ensuring all data is accurate and follow-ups are timely.
What We Are Looking For
- A start-up mentality: You will treat the business like your own and make decisions like it was your money.
- A hard-worker: you will be happy to put the hours in and thrive on winning.
- Communication Specialists: You must have impeccable written English and the ability to build rapport quickly over the phone.
- Customer-Centric Background: Previous experience in a customer-facing role is essential.
- Thick skin: you’re going to get rejected, accept it and move on quick, it’s part of the role and not personal.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Google Workspace is a significant advantage.
- Retail Insight: Ideally, you have experience selling to retailers or understand the wholesale landscape.
- Strong Focus: A disciplined approach to daily outreach and the resilience to handle objections.
- Hands on: One day it might be dropping off samples, the next a trade show.
Bonus Points
- An interest in fashion, wellness and design-led products.
The Package
- £25,000 - £28,000 (depending on experience)
- Clearly defined bonus structure - expected to be £10,000 in year 1
- 24 days holiday (excluding bank holidays)
- Company pension scheme
- David Lloyd membership (after trial period)
