Barings is seeking an Associate for its London based Global Investor Relations Team. This individual will fill a vital role on the U.K. based team and work closely with their counterparts in Charlotte NC (USA) and Hong Kong. Role expectations are to complete all day-to-day Investor Relations processes, liaising directly with clients and internal teams and help identify enhancements to the Client experience. This position will sit in London.
Primary Responsibilities- Coordinate with multiple Transfer Agents, including participation in regular service review meetings, providing support in resolving escalated issues and incidents, monitoring their adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as conducting annual due diligence reviews and site visits.
- Manage dealing, settlement, registration, and Not In Good Order (NIGO) enquiries from Transfer Agent partners, ensuring all duties are performed in accordance with industry standards and within appropriate timeframes.
- Oversee the processing of capital activities, including subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and switches, as well as non-financial activities such as new investor creation, maintenance of static data, distribution of statements and contract notes, provision of audit confirmations, response to investor and client enquiries, and participation in multiple time-sensitive projects.
- Engage with Transfer Agents to facilitate the resolution of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Customer Due Diligence (CDD) matters and annual reviews.
- Respond to requests from Fund Platforms and Data Vendors by completing fund data templates accurately and within designated deadlines.
- Serve as the principal point of contact for distributor enquiries, delivering prompt support and solutions to foster ongoing business relationships.
- Establish and maintain professional, positive, and collaborative working relationships with colleagues across other departments, including Portfolio Management, Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Client Onboarding.
- A minimum of three yearsβ experience within asset management, transfer agency, operations, brokerage, or advisory firms.
- Demonstrates a client-centric approach alongside exemplary interpersonal skills; the culture of both the organisation and team is held in the highest regard.
- Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure, to manage multiple tasks concurrently, and to address a range of enquiries from clients, transfer agents, and colleagues.
- Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven capacity for collaboration across teams and with external stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant operational platforms.
- Knowledge of AIF & UCITS Funds.
- Experience of using AI in daily business life and knowledge of successful prompting.
- Fluent in PowerBi navigation and creation.
