The Barings Programme Analyst Programme offers recent graduates a hands-on introduction to asset management through close collaboration with experienced investment professionals. Over the two-year programme, Analysts support investment activities across public and private markets by building financial models, conducting valuations, preparing investment materials, and supporting portfolio monitoring and reporting.
The programme begins with a comprehensive training period before transitioning into live project work, mentorship opportunities, and ongoing professional development through networking, learning sessions, and team-building activities. High-performing Analysts may be considered for long-term opportunities within the business upon successful completion of the programme.
Primary Responsibilities

Build financial models and support forecasting, valuation, and investment analysis.

Assist in the preparation of investment recommendations, presentations, and underwriting materials.

Support portfolio monitoring, reporting, and investment-related documentation.

Conduct market, industry, and company research as part of due diligence activities.

Participate in training, mentorship, networking, and professional development programmes.
Qualifications

Undergraduate or Master's degree with anticipated graduation in Summer 2027.

Strong academic record, typically equivalent to a UK 2:1 degree classification or above.

Degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Accounting, Mathematics, STEM, or a related discipline preferred.

Previous internship or work experience within investment management, banking, financial services, or a related field is advantageous.

Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
