We are seeking a talented writer and content creator to join our Marketing and Communications team. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Corporate Marketing and collaborate with colleagues across marketing, corporate communications and media relations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Corporate Content
    • Provide support in the creation of external corporate content that aligns with our brand objectives.
    • Assist in developing and delivering a pipeline of corporate marketing content on topics that resonate with our clients, including content about our people and corporate citizenship initiatives.
    • Create engaging content in various formats, including written and multimedia, that effectively communicates key messages and engages target audiences.
    • Collaborate with other marketing team members on integrated campaigns.
    • Write, edit, and proofread content to ensure it is engaging, on-brand, and impactful.
    • Work closely with compliance to ensure all content includes appropriate disclosures and adheres to firm and industry guidelines.
    • Research industry trends and client insights to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Media Relations
    • Provide support to the Head of Media Relations – Europe, including but not limited to writing and reviewing press releases related to investment deals, managing the compliance process, and amplifying content on social media.
    • Manage a calendar of rankings and awards, writing submissions, and promoting successes on social media.
    • Oversee the survey process with key publications, collating data from key stakeholders.
    • Coordinate translations for European press releases as needed.
    • Compile a global list of media highlights for monthly internal reports.
    • Collaborate with internal communications to ensure appropriate media announcements and coverage are shared internally.
    • Conduct research to identify external news moments for which our experts can provide commentary.
  • Internal Communications
    • Writing and editing including conducting interviews to produce content for use on Barings intranet, internal campaigns and newsletters.
    • Provide support with uploading articles to Barings intranet.
    • Proofreading and regional communications support.
    • Coordinate filming for internal campaigns and events.
    • Support with coordinating and managing the annual communications survey.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in communications, media relations, or marketing within asset management or related industries.
  • Working knowledge of investment products and services preferred.
  • Proven experience drafting press releases and briefing notes.
  • Impeccable written, verbal, and communication skills; strong proofreading abilities.
  • A team player who is accountable and flexible.
  • Exceptional project management skills and keen attention to detail.
