The Barings Analyst Programme offers recent graduates the opportunity to join its Real Estate team in London, supporting both Debt and Equity investment strategies. This programme offers hands-on experience in real estate investing, including acquisitions, originations, financial modeling, and market research. Analysts work closely with senior professionals and are fully integrated into live deal activity from the start. Top performers may be considered for full-time roles upon completion.
Responsibilities
- Assist in underwriting and analyzing potential acquisitions/originations, including cash flow projections, using Excel software, valuation and return calculations.
- Gather and evaluate economic, demographic, and real estate market data.
- Review legal documents and other materials as part of the due diligence process.
- Assist in the preparation of investment briefs and related support material.
- Assist analysts in responding to client and regional office requests.
- Provide analytical and modeling support to analysts and management.
Qualifications
- Pursuing an undergraduate or 1-year master’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting or a related field with a graduation date prior to September 2026.
- On track for a 2:1 degree classification or higher.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Commercial real estate investment analysis and financial modeling experience is preferred.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
