Our Government Health practice are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join the team. We are partners in purposeful health transformation, helping organisations deliver rapid, responsible, and integrated change across national, regional, and local health systems. We support major health and care stakeholders, including NHS England, in delivering complex programmes ranging from large-scale technology and data initiatives to critical system procurements and life sciences partnerships.
What you will be doing
- You will work across strategy, delivery, commercial development, and stakeholder orchestration within the UK health and life sciences ecosystem.
- You will work across the intersection of government, NHS organisations, arm’s length bodies, and the pharmaceutical/life sciences industry, helping translate national strategy into delivery.
- You will support the implementation of the UK Life Sciences Sector Plan, contributing to programmes spanning health data, clinical research, and innovation.
- You will help shape and deliver work on health data infrastructure and research services, including national initiatives enabling access to health data for research and innovation.
- You will contribute to the development of new data-driven health products, platforms, and services, working through questions of how health data assets can best support research and commercial use cases.
- You will build and develop a pipeline of opportunities across health, life sciences, and government clients, supporting growth of the practice.
- You will support the development of proposals, bids, and commercial propositions, working with senior leaders to shape client solutions.
- You will play a key role in delivering client programmes, ensuring work moves from strategy through to execution and measurable outcomes.
- You will act as a connector across stakeholders and institutions, helping align organisations that do not naturally operate in sync.
- You will support senior stakeholder engagement, including facilitating relationships between government, NHS leaders, and industry partners.
- You will contribute to commercial growth activities, but within a consulting context focused on shaping and delivering programmes rather than transactional sales.
- You will work closely with colleagues delivering clinical research, health data, and life sciences transformation programmes, bringing commercial and delivery capability into integrated teams.
Your skills and experience
- You’ve worked in health, life sciences, clinical research, health data, or adjacent regulated environments, with a strong understanding of how these ecosystems operate.
- You will have experience working across UK government, NHS organisations, or arm’s length health bodies, ideally with exposure to multiple parts of the system.
- You’ve operated in complex stakeholder environments, where success depends on alignment across organisations with different incentives and priorities.
- You will have experience in commercial development, bid/proposal work, or pipeline building, ideally within consulting, advisory, or public-private environments.
- You’ve contributed to delivery of programmes or transformation initiatives, not just strategy definition.
- You will understand or have exposure to health data systems, digital health infrastructure, or research platforms, and their role in enabling innovation.
- You’ve worked with or alongside life sciences or pharmaceutical organisations, particularly in research, partnerships, or innovation contexts.
- You will have strong relationship-building skills and experience connecting senior stakeholders across fragmented systems.
